Why Baptist Kids Grow Up and Go to Charismatic Liberal Churches

  1. Thank you so much for doing these sermons and posts. We have since taken our kids out of nursery/children's church and have been sitting with us. Sure, it has taken some work and training from the damage done but it still is a wonderful time and has been such a blessing to our family. I only wish I would have been told this earlier luckily mine are all 4 and under still, again thank you for preaching nothing but the truth.

  2. thank you, Pastor Anderson. This is the first time I have actually listened to one of your sermons, as it peaked my interest, since my husband and I are actually a bit of the opposite; we grew up in charasmatic churches ( though not neccessarily liberal) and have found ourselves in a fundementalist Baptist church now that we are raising our own children. It certainly feels lke a big departure, especially since our families ( the parts that are faithful) practice very differently. But the fact of the matter is, we have seen how those churches (not always, but often) fail to produce faithful children, and for many of the reasons that you pointed out...we lived just what you were talking about ! So thank you; your sermon helped reaffirm the path we feel that God is leading us on !

  4. I agree with a lot of what is said...The watering down of the message is without a doubt true, and all about the fake images we receive from media as compared to the truth in the bible....Obviously Mr. Anderson is rather against rock music, but I don't think that it is inherently evil, especially if they play hymns with rock and roll style....We go to a church that plays amazing rock music, but does the outreaches as well, talks about hell, does baptisms, does soul winning, runs missionary trips, and has a male preacher, as well as men in the kids ministry....Not all men, but there are men working with the kids as well as women....We also go to a very small upstart church as well that is building a kids ministry, and when I suggested that we have men in the kids ministry, I met a lot of resistance, hopefully this message will help them make some good decisions.
