Framing the World

For those of you who don’t know Paul Wittenberger, he is the director and producer of several high quality films that I’ve participated in over the last few years. These films include: After the Tribulation, New World Order Bible Versions, Marching to Zion, the Revelation series, and the upcoming film, Babylon U.S.A.

Paul Wittenberger is a professional filmmaker, and his business is called Framing the World Productions. Framing the World has a website where you can purchase movies, CDs, flash drives, books, cool tee-shirts, etc. For some reason, Paul has been criticized lately for making money on these movies and other products, which he sells on his website.

We do not sell anything at Faithful Word Baptist Church because God’s house shouldn’t be a “house of merchandise,” but there is a difference between a church and a business. As the pastor of Faithful Word Baptist Church, I have made a few of my own mini-documentaries, but honestly, my own videos are very amateurish. Paul is a professional, and he does a great job.

People will ask why Paul doesn’t just give everything away for free. He not only has to recover the expense that he pays out of his own pocket to make his high quality films, but he also has to earn a living. People will try to compare Faithful Word with Framing the World, but Framing the World is a for profit business, whereas FWBC is a church, which is a non-profit organization. If you are a plumber, why don’t you just travel around the country, fixing the plumbing in church buildings for free, and pay for all of your own expenses? There are wealthy people out there who do things like that, but most of us have to make a living. Just like an electrician or a plumber, Paul has to make a living at what he does.

Other people will wrongly assume that when they buy something from Framing the World, that the money is going to me or to Faithful Word Baptist Church. When they find out Paul Wittenberger is the owner of that business, and that I’m not making any money on these projects, they no longer want to purchase anything. This is the wrong attitude to have because Framing the World Productions is a great cause to support!

Paul Wittenberger used to work in Hollywood but now chooses to produce more important films, which is why the motto of his business is “Movies that Matter.” Because of what Paul does through his business, we have been able to reach millions more people with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Without Paul Wittenberger there would be no After the Tribulation movie. There would be no New World Order Bible Versions movie, and there would be no Marching to Zion. I, for one, am extremely thankful that my friend Paul is using his talent for the Lord.

People have complained about the fact that Paul has released the extra footage from After the Tribulation and is charging for those special features. He already gave you the entire movie for free, folks! The aforementioned documentaries are all available for free viewing on YouTube. Even though Paul makes his living as a filmmaker, he allows us to post most of his stuff on YouTube because he wants to help spread the important message of these films. Unfortunately, the more you give some people, the more they start to expect EVERYTHING for free.

Faithful Word Baptist Church gives away free materials to people who attend the services in person, and we even have giveaways where we mail things out to our online listeners for free. Some of the church tithes are allocated for these giveaways, and we are happy that we are able to do that. That said, there is a finite amount of money that we are able to spend on giving out materials. That’s where Paul Wittenberger with Framing the World Productions comes in. His online business is an excellent resource for purchasing additional materials similar to what you would find on the back table of our church for free.

I used to run a business called Anderson Fire and Security, so I know the expenses involved in running a business. When Paul makes a movie, there’s a huge initial outlay on his part, so by pre-ordering or donating to a film, you are helping to keep him and his family afloat during the project. On behalf of my good friend, Paul, I’d like to thank those of you who have donated or purchased from his website. Framing the World is a business, and it’s a good business.

Here is a sermon on not selling things in church.

Oh, No, James White is mad!

Here is the email I got from James White and the response that I sent back to him. My responses are in red:
Mr. Anderson:

I am giving you an invitation to defend your statements in your recently posted “sermon” (hard to call it that in any meaningful fashion).  You can come to the studio and we can directly discuss your assertions.  Of course, I will have the actual recordings cued up, so you can explain your direct and documented lies to the audience.  Such as:

1)  identifying a sunday school lesson on how to engage the culture in answer to the advent of homosexual marriage as a “sermon.”
 1. The CD was handed to me and characterized as a "sermon" by the person who handed it to me.
2)  claiming I was projecting the picture, which had been all through the media, of the first “gay marriage” ceremony at the US Air Force Academy when the recording plainly shows that was not the case;
 2. Are you denying that you displayed a picture of 2 men kissing during the lesson in question? It is clear from the audio that you did so.

3)  using the first two obvious lies as the basis of calling me a “pervert”
3. See above.
4)  telling your audience the Christian response to homosexuality is “stone them” (I guess 1 Cor 6:9-11 isn’t in your KJV?)
4. See Leviticus 20:13 and Romans 1:32

"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." - Leviticus 20:13

"Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." - Romans 1:32

5)  selectively using portions of the interview to falsely portray the idea that I was running from your heretical views of Jesus going to hell, when, as everyone knows, we had discussed it fully, and it was the end of a 2.5 hour session?
5. I released the whole interview, so it is obviously not my goal to mislead anyone about our interaction. We never tried to portray you as "running away." If some people came to that conclusion, that is their problem. That scene wasn't even in the movie by the way. It was only in a trailer to get people interested in the movie. You can't expect a short trailer to provide context. It's a trailer!
6) lying to your audience by saying the basis of my understanding of gehenna/hades/hell is the Talmud, when I simply pointed out the consistency between the NT usage and the Jewish understanding of that day, and then
 6. I didn't lie to the audience. You appealed to the Mishna (which is part of the Talmud) as a legitimate source for understanding the Biblical doctrine of Hell. You then mocked me for "not accepting those sources." Again, it is a moot point since the full interview is online for all to see. I think it has already been viewed over 20,000 times, so your statements are available for all to see.
7) adding to your lies by then deceptively switching to a screaming proclamation that MODERN Jews don’t believe in hell (as if that is relevant).
7. Modern Orthodox Judaism is based upon the teachings of the Talmud (including the Mishna). The Talmud (which is what you were appealing to) itself denies the doctrine of Hell as we know it (i.e. we as Christians). Denying the Biblical doctrine of eternal Hell is not unique to modern Judaism. It is based in the Talmud, which goes back to the time of Christ in its oral form, although it wasn't written down until about 500 years later. The Talmud contradicts the Bible's teaching on Hell. Modern Judaism is just a continuation of the same doctrine.
You see, Steven, that kind of fist-pounding, screaming, pulpit-kicking insanity works real well on weak-minded zombified people, but it really falls apart fast under cross-examination when you don’t get to control the conversation.  So you know well you could never defend the slanderous display you put on behind that pulpit.  But I will be happy to demonstrate that.  My next program will be focused upon my upcoming trip to South Africa, where I will be lecturing at North West University and doing a number of debates with Muslims, including at least one in a mosque.  I return mid October, and will gladly arrange to have you join me, in studio, to answer for your public statements.  Are you ready?  Will you stand behind your statements?

By the way, though I truly doubt you care at all, here is an actual sermon (you know, in a church service?) on the subject, one of the 80 sermon series working through the exegesis of the book of Hebrews.  Any honest person, if he were actually seeking to critique me on the matter, would choose this, not a sunday school lesson.
Regarding your last statement, I didn't "choose" a sermon by you. Someone handed me a sermon CD and asked me to listen to it, so I did. They didn't hand me an assortment to choose from.

After sending this email I learned from him that apparently he had not displayed the image of 2 queer men kissing, but that rather he had displayed the URL where the photo could be viewed by those who wanted to see it. Apparently this was so all the creepy Calvinist perverts could look at it in the privacy of their homes. It sounded to me like he was displaying the image itself on the audio CD I was listening to because I guess they were pulling up the picture for themselves, so they could copy the URL onto the board. I wasn't "lying" since I was speaking what I believed to be the truth based on the audio I heard. Now that I hear Dr. White's explanation, I acknowledge my error. It still doesn't change my basic point: viewing or sharing such a picture is perverted, both of which he was doing.

Also be sure to watch the video below that got James White so mad and prompted him to write this email. Notice, that James White doesn't even address the fact that he used no Bible in the first half hour of what he characterized online as a "Bible Study." I could only stomach the first half hour, so I'm not sure what was in the second half. The following video was made by a channel called "SonsofThunder."

"Our Daily Bread" promotes New World Order

"Our Daily Bread" is one of the most popular devotional booklets of all time. I personally have never been a fan of any devotional booklets as I believe that people should just read the Bible each day as a devotional, without any study notes or helps. The Holy Ghost is the best Bible teacher. Not only that, but "Our Daily Bread" switched from the KJV to the NKJV many years ago, which is another reason to stop reading it.

Someone mailed me a recent issue of our daily bread, and on the devotion for Day 1 it states that Jesus Christ came to announce a "New World Order."

I don't believe it is a coincidence that the modern Bible versions have started using this term, and that false teachers like Joe Stowell, the author of this devotional booklet, are also using it.

The new film, New World Order Bible Versions, documents the systematic corruption of modern Bible versions and ties in the specific changes that are being made with the antichrist's coming New World Order.

NLT and the Message Promote "Equality" in Marriage

I saw an article that someone posted about marriage that said this:

They may quote Scripture and sound super-spiritual, but behind the façade of husbandly authority is deep insecurity and pride that can morph into spiritual abuse. First Peter 3:7 commands husbands to treat their wives as equals.

In what universe does 1 Peter 3:7 teach that?! Here is what the verse actually says:

"Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered." - 1 Peter 3:7 (KJV)

There is nothing in that verse about treating your wife as an equal. The Bible is clear the husband is the head of the wife, and that the wife should be in subjection to her husband. At first I thought that whoever wrote the article was a brazen liar. Then I realized that modern Bible perversions have changed this verse to support modern ideas about 50/50 marriage.
"The same goes for you husbands: Be good husbands to your wives. Honor them, delight in them. As women they lack some of your advantages. But in the new life of God’s grace, you’re equals. Treat your wives, then, as equals so your prayers don’t run aground." - 1 Peter 3:7 The Message

"In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered." - 1 Peter 3:7 NLT

Notice how these new versions are not just translating what the Bible says. They are inserting their own modernistic views including queer-sounding words like "partner" and popular buzzwords like "equality." Not only that, but look how the Message butchers 1 Peter 3:6 to further promote a feminist agenda:
"Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement." - 1 Peter 3:6 KJV

"Sarah, for instance, taking care of Abraham, would address him as “my dear husband.” You’ll be true daughters of Sarah if you do the same, unanxious and unintimidated." - 1 Peter 3:6 The Message

The goal of these new Bible versions is not to make the Bible "easier to understand." It is to change what the Bible says. Not only do the modern Bibles pervert the doctrines of Christ, they also attack traditional marriage values. To find out more about the agenda behind the new versions, check out the new documentary New World Order Bible Versions.

New Translations to Dumb Down the Bible

One of the biggest complaints that people make about the King James Bible is that it is "too hard to understand." Many people also claim that the KJV is written in "Old English." In reality, the KJV is written in Modern English, and every word in the KJV is found in a current Webster's English Dictionary. Most of the words in the KJV that people do not know are not "archaic." They are actually just words that we don't use very often today because our language is constantly being dumbed down! The texting generation is too lazy to learn some new vocabulary and read an intelligent book. That would be too much work!

To solve the problem, I have thought of a new concept for a Bible version. It is called the KJV1 which stands for "King James Version - 1 Syllable Edition." It gets rid of all those big words in the KJV and allows only single syllable words. No more big words!

In the start God made the sky and the earth.
And the earth had no form, and was void; and dark was on the face of the deep. And the Ghost of God move on the face of the wet.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God split the light from the dark.
And God call the light Day, and the dark he called Night. And the eve and the morn were the first day.
And God said, Let there be a thing in the midst of the wet, and let it split the wet from the wet.

Another thing people complain about with the KJV is that "it is not the way people talk anymore." Sometimes they will bring up evangelism, saying that if we are going to reach people with the Gospel, we need to talk the way they talk. Therefore we also need an Ebonics Bible for soul-winning in the inner cities. I am not sure that I am qualified to translate the entire Bible into Ebonics, but I will take a stab at one verse.

Matthew 22:12 (KJV)

And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

Matthew 22:12 (Ebonics)
And he was like, Fool, How you up in here not wearin' no wedding clothes? He was like, I don't even know!

In reality, I do a lot of soul-winning in the inner city, and everyone I preach the Gospel to understands the KJV just fine. Are there difficult passages in the KJV? Of course! But instead of trying to dumb down the Bible, you should get smarter! Study to show thyself approved unto God! Our language is getting simpler and simpler as video games and TV rot the minds of our youth. Churches need to educate people in the language of God's word instead of embracing dumbed-down versions like the New Living Translation, which will only encourage people to remain ignorant and uneducated.

The Translations that Came Before the King James Version

Many people do not realize that the King James Bible was not the first Modern English translation. There were actually 6 other translations published before the KJV:

1525 - Tyndale Bible
1535 - Coverdale Bible
1537 - Matthew Bible
1539 - Great Bible
1560 - Geneva Bible
1568 - Bishops Bible

Someone may ask why the Wycliffe Bible is not included in the list. It is not included for two reasons:

1. The Wycliffe Bible was not in Modern English. It was in Middle English. The period of Middle English is considered to be the time from 1154-1485. Wycliffe translated the Bible in the 1380s.

2. The Wycliffe Bible was not translated from the original languages (Greek and Hebrew). It was translated from the Latin Catholic Vulgate.

The 6 Modern English translations leading up to the KJV were all translated from various editions of what we call today the Greek "Textus Receptus." The first several of these printed Greek editions were published by Desiderius Erasmus, and later editions used to produce the Geneva Bible and Bishops Bible were published by Robert Estienne a.k.a Stephanus. The KJV translators also translated from the Greek Textus Receptus, using the editions of Erasmus, Stephanus, and Beza.

Modern Bible versions are translated from a completely different source. They are translated by critical texts edited by Nestle/Aland and the United Bible Societies in the 20th Century. These modern Greek editions are based on corrupt manuscripts like Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus, as well as more recent Egyptian papyri discoveries. It is not a coincidence that Egypt is the source of the corruption underlying modern perversions like the NIV, ESV, NLT, etc.

The 6 Bibles leading up to the KJV were all translated from the Textus Receptus (the correct Greek textual tradition) and are therefore consistent with the KJV. They agree with the KJV. The modern versions, on the other hand, are dramatically different. Therefore, if a person accepts the modern Bible versions as accurate, they are not only rejecting the King James Version. They are also rejecting every English Bible that came before it! According to them, every English translation before the 20th Century has been wrong!

The King James Bible is the culmination of the 6 Bibles that led up to it. It is the culmination of almost 100 years of scholarship and sacrifice that gave us our English Bible. That is why the 6 earlier translations eventually went out of print, and the KJV became the standard English Bible used by virtually all Christians until recently. People recognized that the KJV was the final draft of the English Bible, so it replace the 6 rough drafts that led up to it. The 6 Bibles before the KJV were good Bibles, and the KJV could never have been the magnificent Bible that it is without having had those 6 excellent rough drafts.

"The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times." - Psalm 12:6
