"Our Daily Bread" promotes New World Order

"Our Daily Bread" is one of the most popular devotional booklets of all time. I personally have never been a fan of any devotional booklets as I believe that people should just read the Bible each day as a devotional, without any study notes or helps. The Holy Ghost is the best Bible teacher. Not only that, but "Our Daily Bread" switched from the KJV to the NKJV many years ago, which is another reason to stop reading it.

Someone mailed me a recent issue of our daily bread, and on the devotion for Day 1 it states that Jesus Christ came to announce a "New World Order."

I don't believe it is a coincidence that the modern Bible versions have started using this term, and that false teachers like Joe Stowell, the author of this devotional booklet, are also using it.

The new film, New World Order Bible Versions, documents the systematic corruption of modern Bible versions and ties in the specific changes that are being made with the antichrist's coming New World Order.

Ipower is the Worst Website Hosting Company

Our website, www.kjvprophecy.com, was just suspended AGAIN! All of our church's websites are constantly being suspendedby ipowerweb for "bandwidth abuse," which means that so many sermon mp3s are being downloaded that it is putting a burden on their server.

Here is the part that makes no sense: they advertise "unlimited bandwidth!" Yet they are constantly suspending our websites for using "too much bandwidth." When I ask them about this, they tell me, "Well, it's unlimited, but it has to be within reason." I am trying to get away from using Ipowerweb because of this policy, but it takes time and is a pain.

Thank God that salvation is not like that. Can you imagine God saying, "Well, I know I said 'eternal' life, but actually it will end." Or how about, "Well, the blood cleanses from all sin, but certain exceptions apply." Or maybe, "I know I said 'whosoever,' but I didn't mean someone like YOU!"

Thank God that when he says eternal, he means it! When he says "all" or "whosoever," he means it!

"In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;" - Titus 1:2

"That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;" - Hebrews 6:18-19
"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." - Hebrews 13:5

NLT and the Message Promote "Equality" in Marriage

I saw an article that someone posted about marriage that said this:

They may quote Scripture and sound super-spiritual, but behind the façade of husbandly authority is deep insecurity and pride that can morph into spiritual abuse. First Peter 3:7 commands husbands to treat their wives as equals.

In what universe does 1 Peter 3:7 teach that?! Here is what the verse actually says:

"Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered." - 1 Peter 3:7 (KJV)

There is nothing in that verse about treating your wife as an equal. The Bible is clear the husband is the head of the wife, and that the wife should be in subjection to her husband. At first I thought that whoever wrote the article was a brazen liar. Then I realized that modern Bible perversions have changed this verse to support modern ideas about 50/50 marriage.
"The same goes for you husbands: Be good husbands to your wives. Honor them, delight in them. As women they lack some of your advantages. But in the new life of God’s grace, you’re equals. Treat your wives, then, as equals so your prayers don’t run aground." - 1 Peter 3:7 The Message

"In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered." - 1 Peter 3:7 NLT

Notice how these new versions are not just translating what the Bible says. They are inserting their own modernistic views including queer-sounding words like "partner" and popular buzzwords like "equality." Not only that, but look how the Message butchers 1 Peter 3:6 to further promote a feminist agenda:
"Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement." - 1 Peter 3:6 KJV

"Sarah, for instance, taking care of Abraham, would address him as “my dear husband.” You’ll be true daughters of Sarah if you do the same, unanxious and unintimidated." - 1 Peter 3:6 The Message

The goal of these new Bible versions is not to make the Bible "easier to understand." It is to change what the Bible says. Not only do the modern Bibles pervert the doctrines of Christ, they also attack traditional marriage values. To find out more about the agenda behind the new versions, check out the new documentary New World Order Bible Versions.

New Translations to Dumb Down the Bible

One of the biggest complaints that people make about the King James Bible is that it is "too hard to understand." Many people also claim that the KJV is written in "Old English." In reality, the KJV is written in Modern English, and every word in the KJV is found in a current Webster's English Dictionary. Most of the words in the KJV that people do not know are not "archaic." They are actually just words that we don't use very often today because our language is constantly being dumbed down! The texting generation is too lazy to learn some new vocabulary and read an intelligent book. That would be too much work!

To solve the problem, I have thought of a new concept for a Bible version. It is called the KJV1 which stands for "King James Version - 1 Syllable Edition." It gets rid of all those big words in the KJV and allows only single syllable words. No more big words!

In the start God made the sky and the earth.
And the earth had no form, and was void; and dark was on the face of the deep. And the Ghost of God move on the face of the wet.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God split the light from the dark.
And God call the light Day, and the dark he called Night. And the eve and the morn were the first day.
And God said, Let there be a thing in the midst of the wet, and let it split the wet from the wet.

Another thing people complain about with the KJV is that "it is not the way people talk anymore." Sometimes they will bring up evangelism, saying that if we are going to reach people with the Gospel, we need to talk the way they talk. Therefore we also need an Ebonics Bible for soul-winning in the inner cities. I am not sure that I am qualified to translate the entire Bible into Ebonics, but I will take a stab at one verse.

Matthew 22:12 (KJV)

And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

Matthew 22:12 (Ebonics)
And he was like, Fool, How you up in here not wearin' no wedding clothes? He was like, I don't even know!

In reality, I do a lot of soul-winning in the inner city, and everyone I preach the Gospel to understands the KJV just fine. Are there difficult passages in the KJV? Of course! But instead of trying to dumb down the Bible, you should get smarter! Study to show thyself approved unto God! Our language is getting simpler and simpler as video games and TV rot the minds of our youth. Churches need to educate people in the language of God's word instead of embracing dumbed-down versions like the New Living Translation, which will only encourage people to remain ignorant and uneducated.

The Translations that Came Before the King James Version

Many people do not realize that the King James Bible was not the first Modern English translation. There were actually 6 other translations published before the KJV:

1525 - Tyndale Bible
1535 - Coverdale Bible
1537 - Matthew Bible
1539 - Great Bible
1560 - Geneva Bible
1568 - Bishops Bible

Someone may ask why the Wycliffe Bible is not included in the list. It is not included for two reasons:

1. The Wycliffe Bible was not in Modern English. It was in Middle English. The period of Middle English is considered to be the time from 1154-1485. Wycliffe translated the Bible in the 1380s.

2. The Wycliffe Bible was not translated from the original languages (Greek and Hebrew). It was translated from the Latin Catholic Vulgate.

The 6 Modern English translations leading up to the KJV were all translated from various editions of what we call today the Greek "Textus Receptus." The first several of these printed Greek editions were published by Desiderius Erasmus, and later editions used to produce the Geneva Bible and Bishops Bible were published by Robert Estienne a.k.a Stephanus. The KJV translators also translated from the Greek Textus Receptus, using the editions of Erasmus, Stephanus, and Beza.

Modern Bible versions are translated from a completely different source. They are translated by critical texts edited by Nestle/Aland and the United Bible Societies in the 20th Century. These modern Greek editions are based on corrupt manuscripts like Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus, as well as more recent Egyptian papyri discoveries. It is not a coincidence that Egypt is the source of the corruption underlying modern perversions like the NIV, ESV, NLT, etc.

The 6 Bibles leading up to the KJV were all translated from the Textus Receptus (the correct Greek textual tradition) and are therefore consistent with the KJV. They agree with the KJV. The modern versions, on the other hand, are dramatically different. Therefore, if a person accepts the modern Bible versions as accurate, they are not only rejecting the King James Version. They are also rejecting every English Bible that came before it! According to them, every English translation before the 20th Century has been wrong!

The King James Bible is the culmination of the 6 Bibles that led up to it. It is the culmination of almost 100 years of scholarship and sacrifice that gave us our English Bible. That is why the 6 earlier translations eventually went out of print, and the KJV became the standard English Bible used by virtually all Christians until recently. People recognized that the KJV was the final draft of the English Bible, so it replace the 6 rough drafts that led up to it. The 6 Bibles before the KJV were good Bibles, and the KJV could never have been the magnificent Bible that it is without having had those 6 excellent rough drafts.

"The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times." - Psalm 12:6

Beware of "Going Back to the Greek" in Sermons

Often you will hear preachers "go back to the Greek" in their sermons in order to make certain points. Some will even go so far as to "correct" something that they feel has been "mistranslated" in the King James Bible. But even for those who believe that the King James Bible is word of God, "going back to the Greek" in a sermon is a dangerous practice. Here are several reasons why English-speaking preachers should not "go back to the Greek" in order to make points in their sermons.

1. Doing so implies that there are hidden meanings in the Bible that only someone who knows Greek or Hebrew can reveal.

There is nothing magical or mystical about the Greek and Hebrew languages. The fact that God originally delivered the Old Testament in Hebrew and the New Testament in Greek should show us that there is not one special language that God speaks. In Acts 2, the Bible records God's word being spoken in at least 17 languages by the early church members who were speaking as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. If the Holy Ghost could speak God's word in 17 languages in Acts 2, why in the world would anyone think that it is impossible for God's word to be expressed perfectly in English?

If there were hidden meanings in the Bible that only Greek and Hebrew scholars could reveal, then that would make the people in the pew reliant upon the pastor to teach them those things. He would then be acting as a mediator between them and God since they would be unable to fully understand God's truth without him. This is similar to Catholic doctrine that teaches that only the church can interpret the Bible for you, and that you should beware of "privately interpreting" the Bible. God forbid that Baptists would ever believe or teach such a thing!

"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him." - 1 John 2:27

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" - 1 Timothy 2:5

2. Doing so implies that the Bible we preach from is not completely accurate or fully translated.

People often repeat the cliche that "you always lose something in the translation." Many people who repeat this myth do not even speak a second language. The Bible can be translated into any language without losing any of the meaning. Although not all translations are 100% accurate, it is theoretically possible to perfectly express God's word in any human language. Thankfully, we were brought up speaking English and have the King James Bible in our English language, which is the word of God without error. Many other languages also have excellent translations of the Bible.

The Bible never commands us to learn a foreign language such as Greek or Hebrew. Instead we see the biblical example of translating God's word into all languages. Keep in mind that God is the one who gave us different languages in the first place at the tower of Babel.

3. The tendency among preachers is to not be fluent in Koine Greek, but rather to blindly rely on lexicons and other man-made study tools.

When the vast majority of preachers who "go back to the Greek" in their sermons are challenged after the service by someone who actually speaks Greek, it quickly becomes obvious that they know little or no Greek. About 99% of the time, they are just repeating something that they read in a commentary, looked up in a lexicon, or heard from another preacher. Therefore, they aren't really "going back to the original," they are just going to someone else's opinion and stating it as fact. Who wrote the commentary? Who wrote the lexicons? Is everything written in these commentaries and lexicons Gospel? Often they are written by people who do not even believe the Bible or have horrible doctrine. Should we let these random people's opinions trump what is plainly written in our English Bible?

4. 99% of pastors are nowhere near as qualified as the KJV translators, yet they flippantly correct the translation using their amateurish knowledge of Greek.

"Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me." - Psalm 131:1

If a pastor is not fluent in Koine Greek, why in the world would he translate on the fly from behind the pulpit? Is he more qualified than the 54 expert men who spent 7 years translating the King James Bible? Yet so many preachers will "correct" what they consider "translation errors" based on their 2 semesters of Greek in Bible College (if that!). Why? Either because they want to change what the Bible says to fit their sermon, or they want to make themselves look smart.

5. If the pastor goes back to the Greek, most listeners have no clue whether or not what he is saying is true and must blindly trust the pastor.

If the church is an English-speaking church, the English King James Bible should be the final authority for all matters of faith and practice. The pastor should not be believed blindly. It is the responsibility of the church to listen to the preaching and then search the scriptures daily to see whether what is being preached is the truth. If he is teaching doctrine based on what the New Testament says "in the Greek," no one in the church will be able to verify what is being preached unless they happen to be a Greek scholar.

"Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge." - 1 Corinthians 14:29

Although the Greek Textus Receptus and the English King James Bible are both the word of God without error, the Greek New Testament should not be used in a congregation of English-speaking people where almost no one knows the language.
