Beware of Secretive Religions

People often get sucked into cults because false prophets are intentionally deceptive. They don’t want you to notice that their doctrines contradict the Bible, and that many of their practices resemble open Satanism. They know certain things would raise a red flag to outsiders, so they don’t let you in on those details while it is still easy to just walk away.

Mormons

For example, Mormons believe in multiple gods living on other planets and that Jesus is Satan’s brother. They literally believe that you must know a secret handshake to get into Heaven, but are these the doctrines they discuss with you at the door? No. They gradually try to lure you in with just talking about the teachings of Jesus and getting you involved in the social life.

In fact, some of the strangest doctrines aren’t taught to new members until they get married. This is by design since it helps keep people in the cult. Things start to get weird during the Satanic wedding ceremony in the Mormon temple, but once they get married, they are hooked. You see, the Mormon Church conveniently teaches that if either husband or wife wants to leave Mormonism the other should divorce their spouse. Wives are taught that their eternal destiny is dependent on their marriage to a Mormon. This is why you often hear about couples who made the decision to leave the church together. It is hard for just one of them to leave since they run the risk of losing their spouse.

JWs

Another cult that hides its strange teachings and practices is the Jehovah’s Witness Organization. They’ll say they want to study the Bible with you and will claim to be Christians, even though they don’t believe in the deity of Christ. The weirdest doctrines will come out later, and people who have left the JW cult will tell you how controlling the organization becomes.

JW elders have the power to “dis-fellowship” someone for something as minor as smoking a cigarette or going to a casino. Sometimes while someone is being disciplined, they’ll be allowed to attend meetings but people won’t be allowed to talk to them. They’ll have to write a letter to the elders to get back in good standing since the elders won’t be speaking to them either.

If you instead try to distance yourself from the organization, they’ll attempt to track you down to pressure you into meeting with them, just so they can kick you out. Your own family will then be instructed to shun you, but that smiling “witness” that handed you the Watchtower magazine out in front of Walmart never told you that.

Secret Societies

It’s not just JWs and Mormons that have dark secrets they don’t reveal to outsiders or newcomers. Other secret societies including the Freemasons and even many college fraternities also teach people to keep quiet about their inner workings.

As Christians, we are nothing like these cults and secret societies because we have nothing to hide. We should never be ashamed of any Bible doctrine. In fact, the Bible teaches that we should always be ready to answer questions about our faith.

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” 1 Peter 3:15

Refuting LDS Doctrine when Soul Winning

Mormon idol to their fake Jesus

Mormonism teaches that there is more than one God, and that men can become gods. This has been Satan’s message since the garden of Eden.

“For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:5

“I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” – Lucifer (Isaiah 14:12-14)

LDS Prophet Brigham Young taught: “How many Gods there are, I do not know. But there never was a time when there were not Gods and worlds, and when men were not passing through the same ordeals that we are passing through.”

The Bible teaches that there is only one God!

“Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.” Isaiah 43:10-11

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” 1 Timothy 2:5

“And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:” Mark 12:32

Jesus Christ was God in the flesh:

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” 1 Timothy 3:16

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

“But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.” Hebrews 1:8

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” 1 John 5:7

“I and my Father are one.” – John 10:30

“And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.” Mark 10:18

Was Jesus good? Then he was God!

Mormonism is a cult because they are following a man. First it was Joseph Smith, then it was Brigham Young, and there has been a succession of more false prophets leading them after that.

Mormons believe in another book, which contradicts the Bible. The Book of Mormon comes from a revelation Joseph Smith claimed to get from “The angel, Moroni.” The Bible condemns those who bring another gospel — even if it comes from an angel:

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8

Perhaps you could also remind them that nothing else was supposed to be added to the Word of God after the New Testament was complete:

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Revelations 22:18-19

One of the obstacles in reaching Mormons is that they are taught that the Bible has translation errors. This is convenient for them since the Book of Mormon is in opposition to many clear teachings in scripture. Something to point out to them is that the Old Testament prophesied the events of the New Testament, but where in the Bible was there a prophecy about events in the Book of Mormon? For example, where was it ever foretold that Christ would appear to Native Americans?

Mormons can be difficult to reach, but occasionally you will find some that are receptive. Address their false doctrine, but always keep coming back to the Bible way to Heaven. The power is in the gospel. Go through the Romans road with them, being sure to emphasize the fact that there is only one God, and that you don’t have to repent of your sins to be saved.

Here is a sermon where I cover this subject in more detail.

Satanic Rituals of the Mormons Exposed

This video was taken with a hidden camera in 2012 at the Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City. This is the marriage ceremony that all Mormons go through when they get married in the temple. Below I will explain how blatantly Satanic this ceremony is.

Notice how when Lucifer shows up in the Garden of Eden in the video, he is wearing an apron that he says is the emblem of his "power and priesthood." (22:58-23:13) A little later he tells Adam and Eve to make aprons for themselves (23:38). Then the couples who are getting married in the Temple are told to put on aprons also (23:48-23:58). They keep these aprons on for the rest of the ceremony. Then at 1:17:41 they say, "Power and the priesthood be upon me and all my posterity..."

Stop and think about it: they are wearing the apron that Lucifer said was the emblem of HIS power and priesthood while they say, "Power and the priesthood be upon me and all my posterity..."! Whose power and priesthood? Lucifer's! No wonder they are so hard to get saved! They have placed themselves under a Satanic curse.

They also place themselves under the curse of Lucifer at other times in the ceremony by making covenants promising not to commit various sins. Then Lucifer makes it clear that if they do not live up to every covenant they make in the Temple that day, they will be under his power (42:52-43:05). Since everyone is going to sin at some point, they are obviously going to be under the power of Lucifer according to this ceremony. One of the things they promise not to do is "laugh loudly." (50:07-50:17) What in the world?! A Mormon was at my house recently and laughed loudly, and I said, "Careful! No loud laughter!" She said, "Oh, yeah, you're right."

Creepy Lucifer at 42:52-43:05
Also, in the video, Lucifer talks about how he is doing the same thing on earth that has always been done on other worlds in the past (24:54-25:19). Mormons will lie right to your face and tell you that they don't believe in people living on other planets and other gods, but here in their secret ceremonies they mention it openly.

Do not be deceived! LDS is the church of Latter Day Satan!

Mormonism is Islam for White People
