The Best Way to Make Christian Friends
![]() |
| Soul-winning Group last weekend on the White Mountain Apache reservation. |
One of the most common ways that people make friends is by working together. Think about how close you have gotten with people you’ve worked with. The reason for that is that there is a camaraderie that develops when people have common goals and shared experiences. If you work with someone long enough, you’ll end up with lots of fun stories to reminisce about.
Your closest friends should be fellow believers, but sometimes it can be hard to break into the inner circle of a church. Ideally, everyone should be friendly, but sometimes conversations can be superficial until people get to know you better. If you haven’t been successful at making friends in your church, it might be that you haven’t worked with anyone yet.
Perhaps you’ve been to a church with several Sunday school classes or “small group Bible studies.” The reason they break things up that way is to create a smaller atmosphere in the hopes that people will form friendships. At FWBC, we have a better way for people to get to know each other, and that’s by having multiple soul-winning times. By showing up for soul winning on a regular basis, you’ll get to know the people who go soul winning at the same time you do.
Soul winning with someone is a lot more interactive than just sitting next to them in church. If you spend an hour or two out knocking doors with somebody, you’re bound to get to know them as you chat between doors. Just like with that co-worker, you’ll build a relationship with your soul-winning partner as you work together toward a common goal.
Here at FWBC, people are enjoying great fellowship while soul winning here in the Phoenix area, on nearby Indian reservations, and even on foreign missions trips. Wherever you go to church, I encourage you to show up for one or more of the soul-winning times. In addition to that, you can make friends with even more people by showing up to a soul-winning marathon put on by one of the churches in our movement. You need fellowship, and we are commanded to win souls, so you will be killing two birds with one stone. Get your feet wet as a silent partner and make a new friend or two in the process. Winning souls is a win-win!

Silent Partners Needed for Soul-winning MEGA Marathon
In Exodus Chapters 3 and 4, we read about God sending Moses to speak to Pharaoh and Moses making excuses about not being a good speaker.
“And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord? Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say. And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart. And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do. And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.” Exodus 4:10-16
Moses was making excuses that he wasn’t a good speaker even though God had promised to help him. God was displeased, but once Moses found out Aaron was going, he felt more confident and agreed to go. Moses was one of the greatest leaders who ever lived, but initially, he was nervous about doing the talking.
There’s a "Soul-winning Mega Marathon" coming to your area on March 31st. This will be a huge event. We are having soul-winning marathons that day in all fifty states, and we’ll meet you there! Obviously, I won’t be able to physically attend more than one of them, but there are plenty of people who speak well and that, like Aaron, are coming forth to meet you.
If you don’t feel like you can talk, just show up anyway. There will be plenty of people there who can speak, and they just want you to show up. Moses wanted God to just send someone else, but when we make excuses, the anger of the Lord is kindled.
We all need God’s help with what to say out soul winning, but even if you need someone to speak for you, please just show up and be a silent partner. We all got started soul winning as a silent partner, and it’s the best way to learn. Not only that, but there is usually a shortage of silent partners, and we end up sending two “talkers” out together. The more pairs we can send out, the more people we can reach with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Just show up, and you will be glad you were a part of this historic event.
Mark your calendar for March 31st, and click here to find out the location of the soul-winning marathon near you.

Baptist Churches Scale Back Soul-winning
“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.” Revelation 2:4
I’m disgusted with this new trend in churches where they are scaling back soul winning to once a month! Compare that with our church’s 12 official soul-winning times per week. I’m not taking credit for all of that—there are several different people heading up our various soul-winning times, but the point is that our church does a ton of soul winning.
Lately, whether I am knocking doors in a major city or some isolated small town, I see the Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons out in force. You know who I don’t see? I don’t see the lazy Baptists! I talked to an old Indian man on the Apache reservation who said the Baptists used to come years ago, but they’ve stopped coming. There is something wrong with the Baptists in this country when a church 30 miles from an Indian reservation never steps foot there. The Jehovah’s witnesses that were down there said they come twice a week!
The very same church that is failing miserably at reaching people in their area has criticized us for doing the Lord’s Supper a different way than they do. Meanwhile, they’ve done away with weekly soul winning. The world’s going to Hell, yet a lot of Baptist churches only seem to have time to hand out tracts in rich neighborhoods once a month, just so they can get their tithes!
Some churches still knock doors once or twice a week, and that's a great start. Ideally, when a church gets large enough, there should be soul-winning going on every day of the week just like in the book of Acts. When you give people a variety of times to choose from, they are much more likely to average once a week.
Any church that scales back soul winning to once a month is a joke and a social club! Instead of scaling back soul winning, they should be adding more soul-winning times to make it easier for their members to go more often. Meanwhile, our churches and others like us will have to pick up the slack and do more than ever before.
“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;” Matthew 9:37

The House Church Movement
"And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” - Acts 2:46-47
A church should be an institution that’s growing. I’m not saying that the growth is going to be quick, but there should be some growth there. There’s a movement out there that says church is nothing more than just having friends over for a Bible study. If you want to get together with people to talk about the Bible and sing songs, then by all means do so, but that isn’t church. “House churches” aren’t growing, but what is growing is the tendency to forsake church in favor of something else.
The house church movement is unbiblical. Keep in mind, I’m not talking about a church that starts meeting in a house and then eventually outgrows it. I’m talking about the movement that says that if you ever were to outgrow the house, you should split up the “church” so it can stay small. In the book of Acts, they started with 120 people and grew from there. I don’t know about you, but I can’t fit 120 people in my living room.
Not only is it unscriptural to intentionally stay small, but the typical house church lacks leadership. If God intended for the New Testament church to be a free-for-all where everyone has equal authority, why did he give us such strict qualifications for an elder or bishop? The pastor has to be somebody who’s been in church for a while, has the aptitude to teach, etc.
The house church people will say they are all elders, but are they really qualified? At Faithful Word Baptist Church, we don’t have an overabundance of qualified guys. Even in a church of over 300 people, “faithful men” who are actually qualified to pastor a church are hard to come by. These house churches want to have multiple pastors in their living room, and what they have is too many chiefs and not enough Indians.
What it boils down to is pride. House church proponents don’t want to pour water on the hands of Elijah like Elisha did because they think it would be degrading and demeaning. Elijah wasn’t perfect, but he was a man of God. A smart person like Elisha gets behind a qualified man of God and learns from him.
Not only do house churches lack biblical leadership, but they aren’t following the great commission. The reason they stay small enough to remain in someone’s living room is that they aren’t reaching people. They know they need to read the Bible and fellowship with other believers, but they somehow fail to realize that the church is also a tool to get people saved.
FWBC started in a house, but we were reaching people through door-to-door soul winning. Many got saved, some of them came to church, a few got baptized, and a handful stuck around for the teaching. My family benefited from the preaching during that stage, and we made some good friends, but it wasn’t only about us. After a year and a half, we outgrew the house. If a church has no outreach program and is content to perpetually meet in a house, they have forgotten their first love—if they even had it to begin with.

Tony Scheving Exposed (Master's Baptist College - Fargo, ND)
Tony Scheving in Fargo, North Dakota, with Master’s Bible College is a false prophet teaching works salvation. It is disappointing that his advertisements have been featured for years in a well-known independent fundamental Baptist publication called The Sword of the Lord. The college is also endorsed by S.M. Davis and R.B. Ouellette.
I used to wish someone would tell The Sword of the Lord what this guy believes, but apparently, they don’t care because advertisements for Scheving’s college have been featured in their newsletter for years, even though I exposed that heretic back in 2011. Unfortunately, there are several others just like him, but Scheving is especially dangerous because he’s running a heavily-advertised Bible college.
People sometimes ask me why I’m so hung up on this repentance thing. Some pastors don’t think it’s a big deal, but it IS a big deal because it’s sending people to Hell. People are being taught that salvation isn’t free and that they have to turn from their sins and make Jesus the Lord of their life in order to be saved. As a result of this teaching, people are trusting in their own works and remaining unsaved. When this heresy creeps into a church, they often stop doing door-to-door soul winning, and when they do occasionally deal with someone at the altar, they are presenting a false gospel.
Nowhere in the Bible will you find the phrase “repent of your sins.” I’m sick of the wolves in sheep’s clothing in the independent fundamental Baptist movement and the pastors who are afraid to call them out.
In Tony Scheving’s pamphlet, 7 Steps to God, he says this:
“Salvation is simple, but it’s not shallow. It will cost you something to follow Christ. It may be free, but it cost Christ his life. When you really mean business and want to be saved, you are deciding to walk the ‘narrow road.’”
UGH! Isn’t the definition of free that it doesn’t cost anything!? Yes, everything costs something, but Jesus paid the price for our salvation so it could be a free gift for us.
Here are a few more quotes from Tony Scheving:
“Do you mean business with God? While salvation is free, it’s not cheap.”
“Salvation all boils down to being willing to make Christ the Lord of your life. Are you willing to make Jesus Christ the Lord and Master of your life?”
“Getting saved means repenting of sin and making Jesus Christ the Lord of your life!
"If Jesus isn’t Lord of all, He’s not Lord at all!"
If the Lord had full control of your life, you would never sin, and we know that we are all sinners. Tony Scheving contradicts himself by saying that salvation is free, but that it’s going to cost a lot. As you can see, Scheving isn’t just a little mixed up on the definition of repentance. This lying deceiver teaches a full-blown lordship salvation. Listen to the sermon where I describe "Repentance Spectrum Disorder" to familiarize yourself with the different levels of repent-of-your-sins heresy that are out there, but Tony Scheving is as bad as it gets. He’s a false prophet who needs to be marked and avoided.
Here is the video clip where I exposed Scheving back in 2011:
To help spread the true Gospel in Fargo, North Dakota, show up for the upcoming Soul-winning Mega Marathon there on March 31, 2018, which will be headed up by Pastor David Berzins.

Being Thorough Out Soul-winning
The repent-of-your-sins to be saved crowd will often lump the rest of us in together and say we do a "1-2-3 repeat-after-me" style of soul winning. They’ll accuse of us of just asking people to repeat a prayer, but that’s a straw man argument because we are doing a lot more than having them pray. Naysayers who teach a thinly-veiled works salvation just want to emphasize the prayer to make it seem like the people we win to the Lord "aren’t really getting saved"
Yes, there are independent Baptists out there who are too quick to lead someone in a prayer, but the soul winning done in our movement involves having a two sided conversation where the person is given a chance to either agree or disagree with each point. The emphasis is on believing, and there are summary questions that we ask at the end to make sure we are on the same page. Some of us have even posted soul winning demonstrations on YouTube, proving that all of the key points are covered in our presentations.
Like most Baptists, I use the "Romans Road" along with several other additional verses, but one of the ways that my presentation differs from the way a lot of IFBs do it, is that I explain eternal security BEFORE the prayer. I realize that some people do get saved after hearing a very bare-bones Gospel presentation that doesn’t specifically address eternal security. Sometimes when people hear the Gospel, they fully grasp the fact that salvation is a free gift, so they don’t assume they can lose it. There are definitely people who get saved that way, but probably many more who do not. Most adults do not automatically believe in eternal security because they already have a preconceived idea that salvation is by works and that they can lose it. Most IFBs do talk about eternal security, but it is often treated as an addendum to be explained after the fact.
Explaining eternal security after the prayer is better than nothing, and hopefully many of the people who hear it that way are still getting saved. That said, logic dictates that they should understand that it is “eternal life” at the time when they are calling upon the Lord. There is also a difference between just telling someone something and actually confirming that they believe it.
Once you realize the fact that people who do not believe in eternal security are not saved, you will see the importance of expounding the doctrine of OSAS (once saved always saved) before the prayer. Not everyone will show up for church and get that doctrine nailed down at a later time, so we need to make sure people know enough to get saved at the door. There are a few key points to cover when presenting the plan of salvation, and the eternal security of the believer is definitely one of them.
Unfortunately, many churches are weak in this area, but you can make a difference in the effectiveness of your church’s soul winning program. When it is your turn to talk, be thorough. Make sure the person understands that you can’t lose your salvation. Then, when you chat with your soul-winning partner between doors, you can tactfully explain why you included certain things in your Gospel presentation. That’s how I learned to be a more effective soul winner, and you too can pass along this important information to others.

One Big Mistake Churches are Making
Unfortunately, most churches today aren’t on the soul-winning program Jesus and the Apostle Paul were on, which involved taking the Gospel to every town and village. Soul-winning efforts are often limited to a church’s own city or zip code. Churches send missionaries overseas to the uttermost parts of the earth, but what about reaching their Judea and Samaria?
The typical Baptist church is supporting foreign missionaries and maybe even a church plant in a distant city, but who is going to reach the people who live within a few hours of the church? There are tiny towns all across America where there isn’t one Baptist church in the entire town, or if there is, it’s a dead-as-a-doornail church that doesn’t knock doors.
FWBC’s Small Town Soul-Winning Program
People in big cities are more likely to have had their door knocked by a soul winner at some point than someone who is living in a one-horse town. Here at Faithful Word Baptist Church, we are taking responsibility for every small town and Indian reservation in the state of Arizona. It would be great if other churches in our area did the same thing, but I just don’t think it is happening. An elderly man living on a remote Indian reservation recently told me that it has been 15-20 years since a Christian has knocked on his door, but that the JWs and Mormons come by on a regular basis.
Of course, we concentrate on our own local area, which is our first responsibility. Local soul-winning is important for church growth, but we also need to reach people in places that aren’t getting their doors knocked at all by anyone other than false prophets. When we go soul-winning here in Tempe, Arizona, there is a much better chance that those people will show up to our church, but soul-winning is about getting people saved, even if they will never come to church.
Do You Live in a Small Town?
If you live in a small town that doesn’t have a soul winning church you probably have a decent church within driving distance, and I hope you have the character to make the drive. It's even better if you show up to one of your church’s soul winning times, but most likely that church you are commuting to will never reach your neighborhood. Just because people in your town may not understand why you drive so far to church doesn’t mean you should let them all die and go to Hell. Do some soul winning of in your own area, perhaps with a friend who lives near you.
When you knock doors in an area that is kind of far from the church you are representing, go ahead and hand them the church invitation as an icebreaker, but maybe don’t focus so much on inviting them to church. Most of the time they won’t fixate on the location if you just name the church and don’t mention the city. If they do notice and balk at the location, you can say something like, “I know it’s far, but to us, it’s worth the drive..." "Hey listen, more important than church, do you know for sure if you died today that you would go to Heaven?”
Does your Church Reach Small Towns?
I challenge Christians everywhere to get a burden for small towns. When you reach out to people who will probably never do anything for you, you are demonstrating true biblical charity. Perhaps you can show up to one of our soul-winning marathons, or maybe you can help your church organize its own small town soul-winning event.

Toronto Canada Soul-winning Event
The soul-winning marathon in Toronto was our first ever event in Canada, and it was a huge success in a lot of ways. Several Canadians, especially my friends Rob and Shane in Toronto, have been faithfully attending soul-winning marathons here in the U.S., and they have been trying to get me up there to Canada for a long time. They finally talked me into it, even though I thought there was a pretty good chance that I wouldn't be allowed to enter Canada.
If the U.K. and South Africa didn’t let me in, it didn’t seem like Canada would either, based on the Canadian government’s reputation for being extremely liberal. Soul-winning marathons are about preaching the Gospel, which is not illegal there, but I was still expecting them to ban me like those other places had.
When I got to the airport, they scanned my passport and put some special markings on it. They took me aside and searched me, and I was thoroughly interrogated. They asked if there was any “hate propaganda” on my computer, and I said, “It’s possible, depending on what you mean by that.” I explained that we weren’t going to be displaying or handing out anything like that, but I really thought it was over at that point because there were videos on my personal computer that many would consider controversial.
They asked for my passwords, and they took my phone and laptop into another room for about 45 minutes to go through the files on my personal devices. Apparently, there was nothing that offended them because after scouring my computer and phone, they just came back and let me through.
On that first Thursday we just had fun and saw the sights. Friday was the soul-winning marathon, which started in the morning. The forecasts predicted a high chance of rain and thunderstorms all day, but the rain held off until after the marathon. We said we were going to quit at 4:30 in the afternoon, and right at 4:30 there was a torrential downpour. My soul-winning partner and I were standing under a roof talking to someone when the storm finally came, so that worked out well.
I had been booked to preach that night in a hotel conference room. Over 100 people showed up, and the title of my sermon was “Emphasizing What God Emphasizes.” We performed baptisms afterward in the hotel swimming pool, and a total of 29 people got baptized, which was a new record for a soul-winning marathon.
There was a great spirit among the Canadian Christians up there. In fact, a total stranger actually approached us in Panera Bread right before we left for soul winning, saying she wished she was a part of our group because we had such great energy! She was a Christian lady who ended up going to the Babylon USA movie the next day. There were more than 90 people at the movie on Saturday morning, including several who were not able to take off work for the soul winning event the day before. I met a lot of great people during my visit that I hope to see again.
The Bible says, “Mine eye affecteth mine heart,” and I believe that it was God’s will for me to go to Canada. You can hear about a place, but it’s always different to actually see and experience it. God really gave me a burden for the people of Canada. Canada is a melting pot, and we were able to talk to people from all over the world. The totals for the trip were over 90 people out soul winning, 46 people saved, and 29 baptized. The people were much more receptive than I expected, and I am hoping to be able to go back and do more work there in the future.
Here is a sermon inspired by the people I met in Canada called "The Righteous Remnant."

Shyness is No Excuse
“And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,” Ephesians 6:19
The fact that the Apostle Paul had this prayer request means that there is a tendency for us not to want to go soul winning. What we all need is more boldness. To be bold means to be courageous as opposed to timid or shy. I hear people making excuses that they are not a good speaker or not talented, but what it boils down to is shyness, and that’s no excuse not to go soul winning.
There are people in our church who go soul winning consistently every week that are some of the shyest people in the church. They’re effective. They’re doing it every week, and they’re getting person after person saved, making a major difference for the cause of Christ.
One reason you might lack boldness is that some people act like you’re imposing on them. Don’t let that get to you because you aren’t imposing at all. They’re on their way to Hell. You have every right to be there because you are an ambassador for Christ. You were sent there by the God of the universe to try and save them from a deadly disease.
That said, don’t be prideful, arrogant, or obnoxious. You can be bold and still be meek. If they aren’t interested, tell them to have a great day and leave, but the point is that more people will listen to you when you exude confidence. Expect them to be interested, and they just might be.
We all feel shy inside at times, but when you show up at a door acting shy or awkward, it makes the person feel uncomfortable. On the other hand, when you speak up and look people in the eye, it helps them realize you know what you are talking about.
If you are still feeling nervous at every door, you probably don’t go soul winning often enough. The more you do it, the bolder you will become. Anybody can be a soul winner. I’ve seen people stammer and stutter and still get people saved because the Holy Spirit does the work. Those people are going to have great rewards in Heaven, and that could be you, too. Just pray for boldness, and then get out there and do it. Like the Apostle Paul, you too can be a “chosen vessel” used by God.
Here is a sermon called "Getting Started Soul-winning."

We are Not Expendable
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:” 2 Corinthians 4:3
I’ve heard pastors say we are all replaceable, but I don’t believe that for one second. None of us are expendable because we are all different. There is no one just like me, and there is no one just like you either. We can do a lot for God as a church, but a church is made up of individuals. As church members, we are all part of a team, and God uses each of us in different ways.
God himself gave people the Gospel while he was walking this earth as Jesus Christ. He won people to himself when he was here as our example, and when he left, he commanded us to do it:
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15
God does not appear to people today and give them the Gospel. As you continue reading the New Testament, you’ll notice that even when Jesus Christ appeared to the Apostle Paul on the road to Damascus, he sent him to Ananias. Another example like this is the story of Cornelius. When Cornelius had been praying and the Lord spoke to him in a vision, did God himself give him the Gospel? No. God sent Simon Peter. In order for Cornelius to be saved, Simon Peter had to be obedient and go and give him the Gospel.
God is not going to get the Gospel to everyone in Phoenix without Faithful Word Baptist Church and the few other soul winning churches in our area, and he’s not going to get the Gospel to everyone in your area without you. Yes, unbelievers are “without excuse,” but it is up to us to give them a clear presentation of the Gospel so they have a better chance of getting saved. God has put us on this earth for a reason. He has a plan for your life and my life, and there are people he wants each of us to reach.
I am often criticized for emphasizing man’s role in getting people saved, but the Bible emphasizes man. God is not going to knock on people’s doors, and if we don’t do it, it’s not going to get done. We need the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit in order to win souls, but don’t de-emphasize us to the point where you think God is going to somehow do it all himself.
“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.” Ezekiel 22:30

Maine Soul-winning Marathon Results
We recently put on a soul-winning marathon in the state of Maine, and I was pleased with the results. 52 people showed up, and we had a total of 25 saved and 9 baptized. This was the lowest turnout that we’ve ever had at a soul-winning marathon, but it’s not surprising. Maine is a state with a low population and is off the beaten path. It isn’t part of the Bible belt by any means, and people were kind of surprised that we were even doing a soul-winning marathon there. Maine is a godless place in a lot of ways, but having 25 people get saved was a huge blessing!
One of the best things about this particular soul-winning event was that about 30 of the people who came to the marathon had never been soul winning before. Training new soul winners is one of the main reasons we put on these events. Winning a few people to the Lord is great, but training someone to be a life-long soul winner can lead to hundreds more people being saved. Ideally, many of those people who participated in the Maine marathon will get excited about soul winning and continue to win souls on a regular basis in their own communities.
We were able to knock about 1600-1700 doors, so we put a good dent in the town of Biddeford, which only has about 21,000 people in it. Most people who answered the door had zero interest, but people walking around outside were more likely to stop and listen. Interestingly, the four people I personally won to the Lord that day were people out walking. The fact that anyone got saved at all in such an unreceptive area just goes to show that soul winning works anywhere. I believe the Lord places the right people in our path when we show up with a willing attitude.
If you are not yet involved in soul winning, you need to find a soul-winning church in your area and get plugged in. When we come to a town near you, I encourage you to attend one of our soul winning marathons and perhaps bring a friend. As a silent partner, you’ll pick up invaluable skills from listening to a seasoned soul winner deal with different types of people. If you’ve never been soul winning before, just show up, and we’ll pair you up with someone who will do the talking. If you are already a “talker,” we hope you will attend these events as well because we need both talkers and silent partners.

New YouTube Business Cards
![]() |
| Front of the YouTube business cards |
A guy by the name of Adam Fannin from Stedfast Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, designed these really cool little YouTube cards for us. The cards provide our church website address, show how to search for the Bible Way to Heaven video, and also show how to find our three major documentaries, which can be watched for free online.
Each of the following documentaries is very educational plus includes a clear presentation of the Gospel at the end of the film:
After the Tribulation
After the Tribulation is a hard-hitting documentary that proves from the King James Bible that the rapture will take place AFTER the tribulation but before God pours out his wrath upon the earth. The film also exposes Satan’s plan for a global government and a new world orlder. People love anything to do with end times prophecy, and this film debunks the false doctrine being perpetuated in many churches and in movies like Left Behind.
New World Order Bible Versions
New World Order Bible Versions is a compelling documentary that explores the rich textual history of the KJV and exposes the corrupt origins of modern versions. The film goes into the history of the King James Bible and shows how it is consistent with the previous English translations, while the modern versions are dramatically different. The film focuses on how modern perversions are designed to undermine key doctrines and pave the way for a one-world religion.
Marching to Zion
Marching to Zion would be great for a new believer to watch because the beginning of the film provides a 5 minute overview of the entire Old Testament. It then continues the history of the Jewish people from the destruction of the temple in A.D. 70 to the founding of the modern-day nation of Israel in 1948. Biblical evidence, history, and cutting-edge DNA science make this a ground-breaking film. This important documentary answers the question: Who are God’s chosen people?
The new YouTube cards have a nice glossy design and one side of the card is in Spanish.

It is a great tool to hand out to let people know about our films, our website, and most importantly, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are making the cards available for free since you will actually be helping the cause of Christ by distributing them. Give them to your friends and family or hand them out when you are out soul winning.
We will be sending out packages of 30, 60, or 100, so just give us your mailing address and let us know how many you need, and we will get some out to you.

A Strategy to Evangelize the Entire World 4: All Nations
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8
Missionaries
As our church reproduces itself across America, churches like ours could strategize with each other in the area of foreign missions. Instead of one church supporting a hundred missionaries they know very little about for a ridiculously low amount of money (e.g. $50 per month), each church could pick perhaps four countries to emphasize. They could fully support missionaries to go to those countries and start independent Baptist churches that would carry out steps 1,2, and 3 of the strategy in their area (see previous blog posts).
Missions Trips
Not only do we want to send out full-time missionaries and establish churches in some of our focus countries, but we also want to continue this new style of missions trip where we preach in schools, do door-to-door soul winning, and heavily distribute our audio and video materials. Our church has already carried out missions trips to South Africa, Botswana, Malawi, Trinidad, and Guyana, where the Gospel was preached door to door as well as in schools, churches, and other venues. We plan to continue the work in those countries, and we also have a trip to Mexico planned for July of this year.
Start Where it is Receptive, Safe, and Legal
When it comes to foreign missions, we are starting with the countries that are the most receptive and where it is safe and legal to go soul winning. Hopefully, soul winning in those other places will eventually become receptive, safe, and legal, but let’s start with the low-hanging fruit before tackling the harder countries. If God sees us getting the gospel to every person in the receptive areas, don’t you think he’s going to open doors for us in other places too? In the meantime, we are at least reaching some people in those harder to reach countries via the internet.
Internet Ministry
Through YouTube and putting sermons on the internet, we literally have people in every country on earth who listen to the preaching that comes across the pulpit of Faithful Word Baptist Church. We’ve already translated preaching, documentaries, and other materials, into over 115 different languages, which includes every major language in the world. Just one upload on YouTube of Despues de la Tribulacion, the Spanish version of After the Tribulation, has over 10 million views and was shown on TV in Nicaragua multiple times! We’ve also been mentioned in the media in most countries of the world.
Distribution of Audio and Video Materials
Not only are we spreading the Gospel via the internet, but we also send out our DVDs, CDs, and flash drives to foreign countries every week. For example, we've been sending packages of materials to Bro. Richard Symes in the Philippines who has been preaching in schools, soul-winning one-on-one, and consistently getting hundreds of people saved. We also have had our full-time guy in Botswana distributing materials non-stop for the last 6 months
“And the gospel must first be published among all nations.” Mark 13:10

A Strategy to Evangelize the Entire World 3: Samaria
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Titus 1:8
If the rest of Arizona represents our Judea, then the other states in the union are our Samarias. Part of our church’s plan for evangelizing the entire world is establishing soul-winning churches across America, which will in turn start more churches like ours.
I’m not talking about a denomination. When we send someone out to start a church, we cut the umbilical cord. We are independent, but if we send someone out, they will most likely be a lot like us.
I have studied maps, demographics, statistics, etc, and identified 53 key cities in addition to Phoenix, Arizona, that need churches that preach hard and have our vision. Obviously, this can be adjusted if someone decides on a nearby city for whatever reason, but these are just the base cities that I am suggesting:
1. New York City, New York
2. Los Angeles, California
3. Chicago, Illinois
4. Baltimore, Maryland
5. SF/San Jose Bay Area, California
6. Boston, Massachusetts
7. Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas (Stedfast Baptist Church, Pastor Donnie Romero)
8. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
9. Miami, Florida
10. Houston, Texas
11. Atlanta, Georgia
12. Detroit, Michigan
13. Seattle, Washington
14. Phoenix, Arizona (Our church: Faithful Word Baptist Church)
15. Minneapolis, Minnesota
16. Cleveland, Ohio
17. Denver, Colorado
18. San Diego, California
19. Portland, Oregon (Verity Baptist Church Vancouver, Washington)
20. Orlando, Florida
21. St. Louis, Missouri
22. Morgantown, West Virginia
23. Charlotte, North Carolina
24. Sacramento, California (Verity Baptist Church, Pastor Roger Jimenez)
25. Salt Lake City, Utah
26. Kansas City, Missouri
27. Columbus, Ohio
28. Indianapolis, Indiana
29. San Antonio, Texas
30. Cincinnati, Ohio
31. Raleigh/Durum, North Carolina
32. Milwaukee, Wisconsin
33. Nashville, Tennessee
34. Jacksonville, Florida (*COMING AUGUST 6* Valiant Baptist Church, Brother Tyler Baker)
35. Louisville, Kentucky
36. Hartford, Connecticut
37. New Orleans (Faith Baptist Church in Violet, Louisiana, Pastor Joe Major)
38. Grand Rapids, Michigan
39. Columbia, South Carolina
40. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
41. Memphis, Tennessee
42. Albuquerque, New Mexico
43. Birmingham, Alabama
44. Richmond, Virginia
45. Fresno, California
46. El Paso, Texas
47. Honolulu, Hawaii
48. Omaha, Nebraska
49. Little Rock, Arkansas
50. Baton Rouge, Louisiana
51. Des Moines, Iowa
52. Boise, Idaho
53. Buffalo, New York
54. Anchorage, Alaska
As you can see, a few of those places are already covered. If we could start churches in the remaining cities that would do the same thing that we are doing, we could reach the entire country with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Ideally, other churches in our movement will claim their home state or neighboring state as their Judea and send out pastors to nearby cities like we did with Pastor David Berzins, who was sent out to Prescott Valley, Arizona.
Pastor Berzins is doing a great job of knocking doors with his church in tri-city area where Prescott Valley is located. Small town soul-winning marathons are another way that each church can take responsibility for its home state. That said, some pastors will be sent out to Samaria, meaning some guys will want to go to a different state than where their sending church is located.
The goal is to have a like-minded church in these 54 cities within the next 9 years, and that each of these churches will repeat steps 1 and 2 (see previous blog post). If God allows us to accomplish that, then every door in America would be knocked at least one time by a competent soul-winner within the next 24 years.
Not only is our church sending pastors out and also hoping for “grandchild churches” to be started, but some of the preachers from the old dying IFB movement can still get in the battle. I came from that movement, and so did a few of the pastors on the above list. It’s always a blessing when one of my pastor friends or I come across another preacher who wants to be our friend and shares our vision.
We don’t just need soul-winning centers, but we need churches with pastors who preach hard on sin, so that the churches don’t become dens of iniquity. When people start getting the sin out of their lives, they become soul winners, so hard preaching is an integral part of an effective soul-winning program.
We are gaining momentum! Without the Lord we can do nothing, but if we continue doing what we are doing, I believe that by the year 2041, every door in America will be knocked. Other styles of Baptists are doing soul winning, too, but that’s just icing on the cake. I’m talking about just our church and our friends, reaching every person in the United States with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
A lot more guys are already being trained, but it’s not just the pastors who are going to get it done. We can’t do it on our own. Our job as pastors is to lead you by example and motivate you to help us to complete this task. Are you part of a soul-winning church?

A Strategy to Evangelize the Entire World 2: Jerusalem & Judea
"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 8:1
Christ commanded us to evangelize the entire world when he gave us the Great Commission, and Acts 1:8 breaks down that job into four components. Number 1 is Jerusalem, and number 2 is all Judea. Numbers 3 and 4 are Samaria and the uttermost part of the earth, which I will cover in the next blog post. In this post, I will discuss our church’s strategy for covering the first two components.
1. In Jerusalem
Your Jerusalem is wherever you are, and for Faithful Word Baptist Church, that’s the Phoenix area. FWBC has a plan to systematically knock every door in our county (approximately 4 million people) and attempt to preach the Gospel to every person. We have a map on the wall showing our progress, and we have already highlighted a massive section of it. Some of the more receptive areas including the areas right around our church have been covered as many as seven times.
2. In All Judea
The job of evangelizing the world doesn’t stop with Jerusalem. The next component is reaching Judea, and for us, that’s the rest of Arizona. Our church has a small town soul-winning program, which has the goal of knocking every door in every small town as well as every Indian reservation in the state. We’ve already knocked every door in about 12 of the small towns, and we are planning to hit more of them soon. We have also done some soul winning on 18 of the 21 Indian reservations, and we are serious about our church (not another church) knocking every Native American door in the state. We have a chart and binder tracking the progress of our Indian Reservation ministry:
With many of the small towns, we were able to knock every door in a day or two. The larger cities in Arizona will take much longer to cover, so they will each need their own church to accomplish the task. I have a goal for there to be like-minded churches in 5 key cities in Arizona, which have been strategically selected based on population and location. We already have our church in Phoenix and Pastor David Berzins is doing a great job of pastoring and soul winning in Prescott Valley, but I am also hoping that over the next nine years we will also start churches in Tucson, Yuma, Flagstaff, and Bullhead City. I realize that there are already soul-winning churches in some of those places, but instead of counting on others, we want to try to do it ourselves.
There are other churches in Arizona and across America that are being used by the Lord, but they may not necessarily share our vision. We praise the Lord for any soul winning done by churches outside of our movement and consider it icing on the cake.
Are You Making an Impact?
Wherever your Jerusalem and Judea are, you ought to be involved in soul winning. Hopefully your church has a plan for reaching areas beyond the town where it is located, but as an individual, you can make an impact by going soul winning wherever your church sends you. Your next step might be taking the opportunity to attend one of our soul-winning marathons when we come to your state or Judea.
To be continued...
Here is the sermon laying out the strategy for reaching the entire world in our lifetime.

A Strategy to Evangelize the Entire World 1: Exponential Soul-winning
“But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” Matthew 13:23
I believe that this verse about bringing forth fruit to the tune of 30, 60, or 100, is referring to actual soul-winning numbers. A fruit tree brings forth fruit after its kind, and a Christian brings forth other Christians. Ideally, fruit trees produce fruit every year, and those are realistic annual soul-winning numbers because people who go out once a week for over an hour in a receptive area will likely win about 30 souls per year. Those who are even more dedicated and go out for several hours might win 60 or 100 souls per year. If more people achieved even close to these numbers, we could easily evangelize the entire world in a very short time.
We know that the majority of people will never get saved, but when I say evangelize the world, I mean that everyone would hear a clear presentation of the Gospel. Reaching the world begins with winning one soul at a time.
Here’s the math. Let’s say that I am the only saved person in the entire world, and imagine that I decide to win just one person to the Lord each year. Not only do I get that one person saved, but I train him to be like me, meaning I teach him to be a soul-winning Christian.
After one year of that program, there are now two Christians in the world. Since I make that guy like me and he wins and trains another person, by the end of two years, we have four people. After six years, we have 64 people in our church. At that point we are still a small group, but once we get about 10 years in, there are 1,024 of us. Just to simplify the numbers, let’s say that we had 1,000 people at the ten-year mark. By the time we are 20 years in, we are up to 1,000,000! Keep in mind, these are not just converts but people who are each winning one soul per year. The number of soul winners keeps increasing exponentially until by the time we get to year 32, we have over 4 billion. Now we know 4 billion people aren’t going to get saved, but long before we get to that high of a number of people out soul winning, everyone in the world will have heard the gospel multiple times.
There are millions of saved people in this world, so when I look at these numbers, it shows me that the vast majority of Christians are bringing forth no fruit. They never win anyone to the Lord, and they certainly don’t train anyone to be a soul winner. This is why we need to shoot for winning 30, 60, or 100 people to the Lord each year instead of only one. Those are the biblical numbers, and that level of productivity will help make up for the Christians who do nothing.
Planting churches all over the United States and sending out foreign missionaries are important goals for each local church, but don’t underestimate your own personal reach. If you win enough people to the Lord, some of them will become soul winners themselves and reach people in their own circle of influence, which will likely extend to another city, state, or country. Whether you are a man or woman, a child or an older person, you can have a part in this task of evangelizing the world.
If you have never presented the Gospel or have gotten a little rusty, you can start out as a silent partner. Being a silent partner was how I learned soul winning at age 17. After a couple of hours of listening to an experienced soul winner present the Gospel, I started talking myself and improved over time. Some people are silent partners for months before they feel comfortable doing the talking, and that’s fine. The important thing is that you get started right away. Meanwhile, you can speed up the learning process by watching Pastor Jimenez’ Soul-Winning Seminar, which has a wealth of information beneficial to both beginners and experienced soul winners.

Update on Trinidad Preaching and Soul-Winning Event
I will still be preaching on Friday, March 3, 2017, in Trinidad and Tobago, but the location has changed. Courtyard Marriot Hotel in Invaders Bay, Port of Spain, where I was originally going to be preaching, has canceled our reservation. Apparently, the Sodomite activists called them and got the event canceled, which has happened to us several times now just because we preach what the Bible teaches on the subject of homosexuality.
We are living in a day when only one viewpoint is allowed. You must be totally tolerant of homosexuality and not talk about what the Bible says, or a lot of companies won’t do business with you. I respect the right of a private business to refuse service to anyone, but whenever a Christian company tries to do the same thing, they’re persecuted. They get in trouble for not wanting to bake the Sodomite wedding cake or whatever, but apparently, this isn’t a two-way street. We have to tolerate and accept their filth, but they can’t tolerate our position, which is the biblical Christian viewpoint.
Anyway, the new venue for the March 3rd preaching event is a place called the Centre of Excellence in Tunapuna. We will be meeting in a room called Mandela Hall. The address there is 17A Macoya Road, Tunapuna. We will be meeting on Friday night, March 3rd at 7 p.m. for a preaching service, and the next morning on Saturday, March 4th, we’ll be meeting back at the same place at 9:30 a.m. for soul-winning.
If you’ve never been soul-winning, this is a great opportunity to get out there and try it as a silent partner. We will have a few people with us that know how to do the talking, so just show up that Saturday morning, and we'll pair you up with someone who is an experienced soul winner.
If you live anywhere in Trinidad and Tobago or even elsewhere in the Caribbean, I’d love for you to join us at either the preaching service, the soul winning time, or both. I appreciate the sacrifices people make to attend these events, and they are always a great time of fellowship with like-minded believers. We will have plenty of DVDs of our films to give away to everyone in attendance.
Hope to see you in March!

New Orleans Soul-winning Marathon - June 2, 2017
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” Proverbs 11:30
We have a soul-winning marathon coming up in New Orleans, Louisiana, on June 2, 2017. We will be teaming up with Faith Baptist Church in Violet, Louisiana, which is located just outside of New Orleans. The pastor of Faith Baptist Church, Pastor Joe Major, seems like a great guy. His preaching style is dynamic, and he’s not afraid to speak out on controversial subjects. In fact, I recently listened to one of Brother Major’s sermons, “Born Straight After All,” which was great!
It may sound strange that I’m calling that subject “controversial,” but preachers who have taken a stand publicly against “Born that Way Ministries,” are few and far between. Pastors like to talk about "same-sex marriage," but very few are sounding the alarm about Sodomites in general. Wolves in sheep's clothing like Johnny Nixon and Joshua Agan are trying to infiltrate churches, and people need to be informed.
When we have these soul-winning events across the country, people often drive several hours to attend. We even have people who fly in from Canada, so don’t feel funny about flying out or taking a long road trip from another state. You are definitely not alone. There are actually people who attend every soul-winning marathon, which is great!
We need silent partners at the soul-winning marathons, so don’t worry if you’ve never been soul winning or if you’re just not comfortable doing the talking yet. We will pair you up with someone more experienced, and you can be a silent partner. Showing up is the first step to becoming a soul winner--we all started out as a silent partner.
Also, this would be a great time for those of you who live anywhere near New Orleans to meet Pastor Joe Major, who is a man of God in your area. Hopefully, through this event, people will get plugged into the church there and continue to win souls on a regular basis.
I hope to see some new faces as well as some familiar ones. I can’t say enough good things about those of you die-hards who are able to travel long distances to the marathons. I appreciate your friendship and the sacrifices you make to attend these events. God bless you, and I’ll see you in New Orleans this June!
“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17

Preaching & Soul-Winning Event in Trinidad
Preaching Service
I will be preaching on Friday, March 3, 2017, in Trinidad and Tobago. On that Friday night at 7:00 p.m., I’m going to be preaching in the "Blanchisseuse room" at the Courtyard Marriott hotel on Audrey Jeffers Highway, Invaders Bay, Port of Spain, Trinidad.
If you live anywhere in Trinidad or even elsewhere in the Caribbean, I’d love for you to join us at that preaching service if at all possible. I appreciate the sacrifices people make to attend these events, and it’s great to meet like-minded believers from other parts of the world.
Soul-Winning Event
Also, the next morning on Saturday, March 4th, we’ll be meeting in the hotel lobby at 9:30 a.m. to go out soul-winning. If you’ve never been soul-winning, this is a great opportunity to get out there and try it. We will have a few people with us that know how to do the talking, so if you want to be a silent partner, just show up at that hotel on Saturday morning, and I’ll send you out with someone else who is a more experienced soul winner.
“After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.” Luke 10:1
This will be my second time visiting Trinidad, and I look forward to getting together with the people I met on my last visit and hopefully also seeing some new faces at the events. These type of events are not only a great way to spread the gospel and gain soul-winning experience, but they are also an opportunity to have fellowship with other Christians. For those of you who are single: sometimes sparks fly at these events--In fact, I’m told a couple recently get engaged at a soul-winning marathon held in the United States.
Again, we have a preaching service at 7:00 p.m. on that Friday night and soul winning on Saturday morning. We should have lots of preaching flash drives and preaching DVDs to give away as well as a few of our films. Everything we hand out at these events is free of charge if you show up to receive it in person. Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you there!
“Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.” 2 John 12
