Let me preface my comments by saying I am not trying to be critical, just give some food for thought. I was really challenged by a message my Pastor preached a couple of years ago and just wanted to share. I noticed that Zsuasanna commented that her favorite blog post so far was, "what a lucky little girl". As a Christian, I think we all use that word luck without stopping to think about what we are saying. If we believe in a soverign God, then there can be no such thing as luck. Colosians 1:17 says that He is before all things and by Him all things consist. Miriam didn't luck into having a daddy who loves her enough to take her out and spend some time with her on her special day. It was through the divine planning of a good and gracious God.

Stephen Tweddell, Whenever anyone says that God is "sovereign," they are usually teaching the false doctrines of Calvinism and TULIP. I reject them completely.
"Sovereign" in the KJV Bible = 0 mentions
"Sovereign" in the NIV Bible = 297 mentions
No, I do not believe that God divinely plans every little event of our life. I believe in time, chance, and free will.
