Can Bob Gray Sr. Defend "Eunuch = Sodomite" Doctrine?

Bob Gray Sr. is trying to make this argument about whether or not homos are reprobates, but that’s not the doctrine I called him on. I called him out for supporting “Born that Way Ministries,” which teaches that Sodomites were born eunuchs. Bob Gray knows he can’t defend Johnny Nixon’s ridiculous misinterpretation of Mathew 19:12, so he keeps changing the subject. When I tried to challenge him on that, he blocked me on Facebook.

Blocking people on Facebook could become a full-time job for Bob Gray because people who used to look up to him are now questioning why he is partnering with Born that Way Ministries. Johnny Nixon of Born That Way isn’t exactly a separated, fundamental Baptist. A quick scan of his Facebook page revealed a Gandhi quote, a graven image with the caption “beautiful,” and an endorsement from the Duck Dynasty guy. Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson is a member of the Church of Christ and believes in baptismal regeneration, but now that Bob Gray is defending Sodomites, I guess that doctrinal difference is no longer a big deal to him.

Just for clarification, Bob Gray’s son, Pastor Bob Gray II, disagrees with his dad in that he DOES NOT support Born that Way Ministries. When the Sodomite poster boy from Born that Way Ministries showed up in Longview claiming he was born a eunuch, Bob Gray II asked to see a doctor's note.

You see, Matthew 19:12 describes three types of eunuchs:

“For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.” Matthew 19:12

The eunuchs from their mother’s womb have some kind of congenital defect that either makes it impossible to engage in the marital act or prevents them from even having those desires. Those who were made eunuchs of men were of course physically castrated. The third type of eunuch is someone who chooses a life of celibacy on purpose for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. The verse does not say that the guy who was a eunuch from the womb was born that way for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. The person with the birth defect and the person who is an Apostle Paul type are clearly two different eunuchs.

Aside from that, what in the world does Matthew 19:12 have to do with homosexuality? Absolutely nothing! Yet "Born that Way Ministries" would have us to believe Sodomites are just confused "eunuchs" which is obviously absurd. Why would someone who God supposedly intended as a "eunuch" accidentally end up committing abominations with multitudes of other queer men? If these people are looking for an explanation as how homos got that way, they should try reading Romans 1 - a passage that actually mentions homosexuality and explains point blank how they got that way.

Instead of backing down or explaining his reason for supporting Johnny Nixon's ministry, Bob Gray Sr. just wants to change the subject to soul winning. I guess he doesn’t realize that virtually all of the people who are arguing with him on his page are just as passionate about soul winning. Our church has 11 different soul-winning times per week, but false doctrine still needs to be addressed.

To be continued…

Here is the sermon on The Baby Boomer Generation.

Bob Gray - that's Gray with a silent R.

Somehow I think that anything he may (or may not) respond to you with will include the buzzwords love/hate, tolerance/intolerance, judge/judgmental.

All these heretics have something in common. They all work together. Avoid this college and all colleges. They want your children.

That's great that his son, Bob Gray II, doesn't agree with his dad. I hope his other son, Scott Gray, disagrees as well. I am currently attending his church in Durham, NC. Thank you for boldly speaking the truth!
